This is to inform you that Aqualift hydrophilic gel is being manufactured and exported from Ukraine illegally.
By buying Aqualift, dermal filler or hydrophilic gel aqualift you are running a risk to have a defective product and to be involved into international legal proceedings.
Any export of Aqualift hydrophilic gel through Ukrainian border is outlawed. Any pack of Aqualift that was exported to other countries is contraband and any buyer of Aqualift will be punished by law.

Due to the fact of intellectual property rights infringement, criminal case was initiated against ex-manufacturer of Aqualift (National Centre of Medical Technologies). We do not bear any responsibility for the quality of the gel present on the market and manufactured by National Centre od Medical Technologies. Production of Aqualift (aqualift gel, aqualift dermal filler, hydrophilic gel aqualift) is officially forbidden and all the samples of Aqualift gel available on the market are illegal.

The legal owner of the patent will arraign on a criminal charge and indemnify by the dealers who distribute Aqualift and doctors who use the product that was manufactured by National Centre of Medical Technologies.

The main mechanisms of the human skin biological ageing reside in the sphere of structural mechanical and biochemical changes of the intercellular substance within the skin dermal layer. Collagen is the basic albumen of the connective tissue, and it performs various biological functions. With advance in age, change of the collagen fiber structure is responsible for the age-related changes. Along with biological “ageing” of the albumin structures, there also takes place inhibition of synthesis of the glycosamineglycanes, that have unique hydrophilic properties, which process is responsible for reduction of hydrophilic behavior of the intercellular medium and reduction of the tissue inner volume. As a result, the skin loses its volume and elasticity, the skin folders transform into wrinkles and remain permanent. Collagen is the major structural component of the skin dermal layer. When injected into the skin, the heterogeneous collagen undergoes gradual biodegradation. Based on the collagen, there have been created fillers of the soft tissues. They possess high-rate biocompatibility with the human body tissues. Collagen preparations, based on 3.5 - 6.5 % bovine collagen, have taken up leading ranks in the world as to frequency of their application as well as by the number of satisfied patients. However, the animal collagen is a foreign albumen to the human body and has a number of negative properties.
Appearance at the market of the next generation of implants has become a new evolution phase in plastic esthetic surgery. For synthesis of the molecule of the implant’s three-dimensional matrix there was applied a new original technology of “catalyst of positive charge”, which allowed receiving the product with unique features. Presence of amide bonds within the polymer chain, high molecular weight of the three-dimensional co-polymer frame, as well as a great number of carboxyl groups, allow it to retain huge volume of water medium (up to 98 %), which can characterize the product as polyamide hydrophilic gel having cation-like properties. As a result of synthesis, there is obtained a water-soluble product very slowly absorbed by the organism. Clinical tests began in 2003.
Unique properties of the gel AqualiftTM put it into the rank of universal biodegrading fillers. Moreover, the implants positive charge blocks the oxidative stress, which phenomenon gives the patient more favorable flow of the postoperative period and prevents inflammations. In 2004, after the first positive results were achieved, the “National Medical Technologies Center ” (Ukraine) started the new implant production based on the infusion production line at the pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprise “Pharmatsia” in Lugansk City, Ukraine. AqualiftTM is produced out of high purity synthetic materials, contains no components of animal origin nor substances received from genetically modified organisms. Production of AqualiftTM is carried out in aseptic conditions and is sterilized by autoclaving at the conclusive stage. According to its properties, AqualiftTM is close to the Outline (France) preparations that also belong to the group of slowly absorbed fillers of synthetic origin.
In the late 80-s of the XX-th century the polyacrylamide gels came into medical practice as implants for filling of the body soft tissues. Their advantages are: simplicity of injection, possibility of sterilization by radiation, stability at storage, jelly-like consistence and very high water content. In the 90-s such gels as "Interfall", "Formacryl", "Esteform" were widely applied in Russia and other CIS countries for contour and augmentation plastics of soft tissues. But after their broad clinical application some reports about complications began to appear.
